Set in the 1930s, the series follows a young René Magritte (Pierre Gervais) as he arrives at an opulent English estate for a private art exhibition hosted by the flamboyant Lord James. What begins as an extravagant gathering quickly turns dark when Magritte wakes up beside the body of performance artist Sheila Legge (Lauren Versnick). As more bodies fall, Scotland Yard’s DCI Thistlethwaite (Stephen Tompkinson) and DC Quant (Donna Banya) are called in to investigate.
Alongside Magritte, the guest list includes Salvador Dalí (Iñaki Mur), Lee Miller (Florence Hall), Man Ray (Frank Bourke), Max Ernst (Mike Hoffmann), and Gala Dalí (Regina Bikkinina), each bringing their own artistic chaos to the intrigue. The series embraces surrealism not just in its characters but in its striking visuals, playful narrative, and heightened performances.

The story follows the eternally optimistic Diederik (Jens Dendoncker) and his sharp-witted half-sister, Marie (Ayana Doucouré). After a mysterious incident forces them to flee their travelling troupe, they seek refuge in the castle of Countess Isabella of Haspengouw (Charlotte Timmers), a young ruler determined to modernise her domain in a world that stubbornly clings to outdated traditions.
Diederik is appointed as court jester, while Marie becomes a lady’s maid — though her true ambition lies elsewhere: she dreams of joining the city guard, a role clearly not meant for women in this society.
FOOL! is a Flemish-language comedy series set in a fictional medieval county. Themes such as abuse of power, gender roles, forbidden love, bureaucracy and toxic leadership are filtered through sharp dialogue, absurd situations and character-driven comedy. Although the setting is medieval, the struggles feel strikingly familiar. Same shit, different century!

PARIS HAS FALLEN, a Canal+ Creation originale, rolls off muscular IP, channelling the high-octane action thriller propulsion of the “Has Fallen” film series,
whose star Gerard Butler serves as executive producer. The three movies to date – Antoine Fuqua’s “Olympus Has Fallen” (2013), Babak Najafi’s “London Has Fallen” (2016) and Ric Roman Waugh’s “Angel Has Fallen” (2019) –
have grossed a combined $522 million in box office, a standout result for an independent film.
PARIS HAS FALLEN weighs in as a high-profile case of the continuing diaspora from film to TV.
Tewfik Jallab (“Spiral,” “Dark Hearts”) plays Vincent Taleb, a member of a security deal guarding a high-ranking politician, like Butler’s Banning in the film series. Here,
the target is France’s Minister of Defence, attacked by a terror force at a high-profile event.
